What types of healthcare careers do you advise on?
Dr. Schwartz advises students pursuing careers in medicine (MD/DO), dentistry, physician assistant studies, physical therapy, chiropractic medicine, optometry, podiatry, and other healthcare professions. The core principles of building a competitive application apply across all these fields.
When should I start working with an advisor?
Ideally, as early as your freshman or sophomore year of college. Early planning allows you to make strategic course selections, build meaningful extracurricular experiences, and avoid common pitfalls. However, Dr. Schwartz also works with career changers, post-baccalaureate students, and applicants who are already in the application cycle.
What makes Elite PreHealth Advisors different from other services?
Dr. Schwartz has sat on the other side of the table — as an Assistant Dean of Clinical Education, admissions committee member, and Residency Selection Committee member. Most advisors can only tell you what schools say they want. Dr. Schwartz can tell you how applicants are actually evaluated behind the scenes.
How does the free consultation work?
The free 15-minute consultation is a no-obligation introductory call where you can share your goals, ask questions, and learn how Dr. Schwartz can help. It's a chance for both of you to see if it's a good fit before committing to a full advising session.
Can you help with my personal statement and essays?
Absolutely. The Application Review service includes a thorough critique of your personal statement, AMCAS/AACOMAS applications, secondary essays, and activity descriptions. Dr. Schwartz provides detailed written feedback with specific suggestions for improvement.
Do you offer ongoing advising or just one-time sessions?
Both. Many students start with a single comprehensive session and return for additional help as needed. For students who want ongoing support throughout the application cycle, multi-session packages and retainer arrangements are available. Contact Dr. Schwartz to discuss a plan that fits your needs.
What is your refund policy?
If you need to reschedule, please provide at least 24 hours notice. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours notice are non-refundable. If for any reason you are unsatisfied with your session, please contact us to discuss.
Can I work with Dr. Schwartz remotely?
Yes. All advising sessions are conducted via video call, making it easy to work together regardless of your location. Dr. Schwartz works with students across the country.
